The troop is off to a strong start in the New Year with an Eagle Scout project! Collecting books for the DC non-profit Turning The Page.

This past weekend during Scouting for Food, Pack 657 and Troop 895 collected 3,750 pounds of non-perishables for Columbia Baptist Church’s food pantry. Thank you to our Falls Church neighbors for your generosity!
The troop had a great time supporting the Falls Church Education Foundation‘s Run for the Schools this last september!

April adventures, part 3 & 4 – here’s a sneak peek at a couple Eagle Scout projects. Our first eagle scout project will benefit Falls Church High School. This is the first of three Eagle Scout projects slated for completion this spring and summer! For our second Eagle Scout project, scouts painted a rainbow mural at the Center for Autism and Related Disorders in Arlington.

The troop hosted a pancake breakfast for our chartering organization, the Falls Church Presbyterian Church. First one since 2020 – everyone was happy to see the return of the tradition.
This December, the troop was busy with multiple service projects. To start off the month, the troop and Cub Scout pack 657 cleaned up the grounds of the Falls Church Presbyterian Church. As part of the Wreaths Across America event, the troop joined other scout and community groups to lay wreaths at Oakwood Cemetary in Falls Church. Continuing a tradition started during covid, the troop made holiday cards for residents of Sunrise Senior Living in Falls Church.
Together with Cub Scout Pack 657, the troop collected 4,350 pounds of food for Columbia Baptist Church’s food pantry. Thank you to our generous Falls Church neighbors for giving such a large amount of donations.
